Here's Kim Calvert before his rock star days with Black Sunrise. Here's Kim's 9th grade year book photo from Anaheim's Brookhust Jr. High School.  Kim was a year ahead of me at Brookhurst. Check out Kim's great comments on a few of the Black Sunrise posts.  He mentions his mother coming up with the Black Sunrise name. I never knew that one. I do remember Kim's Mother very fondly. I remember going to Kim's house for after parties  and Kim's Mom was so kind to everybody. I think actually the very last Black Sunrise show they ever played we had a after party there. I could be wrong. Hopefully we will hear alot more from Kim soon.

This one I didn't go to.  I was still a year away from going  I do remember this show happening though. We lived a short distance from this site and I remember driving with my Dad and his wife past this place and the area was jammed. I remember I knew what was happening there and my Brother Jim was going.

These are photos that were taken by my brother Jim Halbrook.  I think from 1977 or early 1978. I remember asking my brother about Danny's absence and he said at this point Danny was in and out of the band. These are photos I am quite happy to have them in my collection. My brother is the opposite of me. He would have lost these years ago whereas my photos are neatly in slip sheets in binders, organized in chronological order.

Here's how I've stored all my handbills and photos as well as the audio tapes from my friends bands over the years.  So many historic moments....
