I am not sure if I have this exactly right but I do believe the first or one of the first Jaames Dean house parties was thrown by Dan Rice, Myself (Kim C.) and Dave Morris. The party was at Dave's house and really I do remember this as being the first J.D. house party. It was in Anaheim and for reasons I can't remember now we had to have an adult there with us so my dad was volunteered for the job. I also seem to remember Rex Gifford's father there as well. It was that night that I saw J.D. for the first time and thought to myself "man this is what I want to do" so that very next week I traded a 22 rifle I had for an old junk electric guitar and never looked back. I remember my dad and Rex's dad drinking my dad's black berry brandy and getting pretty drunk. I remember having a great time as I did at all the J.D. parties I went to. Bret Scott became a great inspiration to me and I always wished I could be as good as he is, to this day I believe he is one of the best in the business. In the 1990's I saw Drake at a pizza place in Anaheim. At that time I was the Pres. of Tri City Bass Masters and we were having our monthly meeting at Larry's pizza. Drake and I recognized each other immediately and in typical Drake style he proceeded to make fun of me for becoming a "Bass Fisherman" and we had a good laugh. I have many fond memories of Jaames Dean and would like to just thank the guys for being who they were and being good bud's.
