To this day when ever I hear the song Purple Haze it reminds me of only one thing an that one thing is the very first Black Sunrise party/concert. It was a B-Day party for a young lady who's name I cannot remember. It was in a vacant warehouse in Anaheim sort of off Euclid and Lincoln area, I often drive by as the warehouse is still there. There were 2 bands set to play that night and we were the warm up band. What always sticks in my mind about this gig other than it was our first is that we opened up with Purple Haze and Mark and I started jumping up and down to the intro hell I even remember wearing a women's silk red with black dragon shirt of some kind I bought at Judy's at the Anaheim plaza (anyone remember Judy's). I remember a great reaction from the crowd but most of all when we were done the 2nd band played. I don't recall who it was but they had no singer. The lead guitar player told me what a great job we had done. From this night on I never could, you know get the music out of my head so to speak and I was hooked. Kim
